The demo version of this site includes two paid fonts — Calgary and Margo Script — from Jen Wagner Co. In order to use these fonts on your site, you must purchase a web license from her shop. Use the code ELLIE15 for 15% off your font purchase on her site. The downloaded template includes free Google fonts with detailed instructions to replace those fonts if you so choose.
Find the website template that's right for you and your business! If you'd like to include a blog on your website, make sure you select a template that includes a blog. (Don't want a blog? You can always ignore the blog portion of your template.)
Sign up for Showit and select a plan. Once you're subscribed, add the Shared Design Key to your site, and you're all set to customize!
Want to change the colors and/or fonts on your website template? Start there! Go to Design Settings and start replacing the color hex codes and fonts. Quickly pick from Google fonts or upload your own webfonts and select the new ones.
Go page by page and start replacing your content. It's as simple as double clicking, editing and saving! Changing formatting? Definitely take a look at the mobile view in case you need to make some updates there as well.
Connect your domain under Site Settings. Launching a new site and need a new domain? I love the ease and convenience of Google Domains.
Once your domain info is saved in Showit, it's time to launch that site! Showit's instructions vary depending on if you're migrating a blog, starting a new one or launching a website without a blog, but follow their step-by-step instructions for your type of website and you'll be all set!
Once you follow the launch steps, your site won't be live immediately. Even if you don't have a blog and you're able to complete all of the steps yourself, it can take up to 24 hours for the DNS changes to propagate and for your new site to appear at your URL. If you have a blog, plan on the launch process taking a couple business days. Someone from the Showit team will keep you updated via emails and/or the support chat.
Once that new site is live, it's time to celebrate! :)
