Showit Website Migration and Menu Creation: Capitol Hill Style

Tired of too many tech headaches and late-night Google searches trying to launch your new Showit website? It doesn’t have to be that way! 

Abra reached out to me for help launching the new blog design for Capitol Hill Style. The initial Showit designer she hired did not provide assistance with the WordPress side of her site. The main blog design was essentially wrapped up, but she was left with her old site live. And with a new baby and a demanding job, she didn’t have time to figure it out… but she basically needed it all fixed yesterday. Enter Ellie Schuler Creative!

I focused on connecting her domain, troubleshooting any WordPress formatting glitches and errors, connecting her Mailchimp account, cleaning up the desktop and mobile layouts, and knocking out any other miscellaneous edits she had. My favorite change? This new desktop menu! I replaced the basic, yet cluttered, stacked header with this interactive version filled with plenty of white space, more categories and links, and an easy-to-use search bar.
